During our frequent trips to the Middle East, especially Saudi Arabia, we discovered an incredible and unknown ingredient to contemporary perfumery: the Taif Rose. Taif is a splendid city with a glorious history, with a rich culture and a unique geographical position, since it is located on a mountain about 2000 meters above sea level. The singular geographical position, the climate and the fertile soil have transformed the Taif into a heavenly garden where precious fruits, vegetables and flowers are grown. The Arab world, which has an immense appreciation for the essential oil of now, gives life to one of the most interesting cultivation techniques in the world. In Taif, the cultivation is dedicated to damask rose, a rose available in Bulgaria, Turkey, Morocco and other areas, but which receives a special gift here, and each rose has a fragrance with a unique character: the roses are more powerful, fresh, and have a sophisticated aroma. The Taif Roses are collected by hand at the first light of dawn, are counted once and processed in a completely artisanal way. Taif rose essential oil is considered the most valuable in the Arab world, the only place where it is available to date. After discovering this unique, rare and precious Rose, our main desire was to present it in the universe of artistic perfumery. We built this fragrance around the Rose of Taif with the aim of treating it like a precious diamond, which therefore needs a gold ring to be presented. We have thus given the Taif Rose a central position in our agreement, as on a pedestal, in harmony with the other raw materials that are able to enhance its enchanting beauty.
