Christian Dior have added to their La Collection Privée range with the new Bois Talisman. The fragrance was created by in-house perfumer, Francis Kurkdjian, who was inspired by the superstitions of himself, and Christian Dior.
Christian Dior was said to tuck a lucky piece of wood each day into his pocket, and Kurkdjian apparently has a habit of slipping a “protective sugar cube” into the lapel of his jacket.
“Christian Dior’s superstitions have always touched my heart,” says Kurkdjian. ” Bois Talisman is born of the passionate encounter between our two superstitions: the sugar cube tucked into my pocket melds with the pieces of wood that were never far from Christian Dior’s reach. From sugar, I moved towards all facets of an intense vanilla to create the magical duo: Bois Talisman.”
Notes for the fragrance include cedar wood, and a multitude of vanilla – vanilla infusion, vanilla absolute and vanilla CO2 extract.
Bois Talisman is available now as 50ml, 100ml and 200ml Eau de Parfum.
