London based fragrance house, [Experimental Perfume Club](Experimental Perfume Club – Basenotes), have launched three new candles. EPC’s concept of fragrance layering is carried forward in this launch, with three three new candles available individually, as well as a set of three minis, designed to be layered.
The candles come in three of the best-selling EPC scents from the brands Essential Collection of fine fragrances. The scent of each candle represents one part of the fragrance pyramid; top ( Cardamom Moss), mid (Tonka Sesame) and base( Cedarwood Absinth). Each scent can be enjoyed alone, or lit together to layer the fragrances in seven different combinations.
The wax blend features a 40% plant-based formula enriched with shea butter and is housed in reusable ceramic containers.
Cardamom Moss
“A swirl of spices wrapped in salty waves of mineral mosses and Ambroxan. A scent of dualities pairing cool and warm spices. Zingy ginger fuses with warm turmeric, cool cardamon is juxtaposed with the depth of cinnamon. An overdose of Ambroxan and moss gives way to velvety, salt tinged woods wrapped into a hint of caramelised tobacco and powdery musks.”
Tonka Sesame
“An utterly delectable combination of gourmand notes and woods; fused in perfect harmony. Green hazelnuts, almonds and tonka beans all swirl around a delightful sesame. Heliotrope bolsters the nutty notes and hints of rice, whilst earthy patchouli and cedarwood ground the fragrance. A toasty scent that smells good enough to eat”.
Cedarwood Absinth
“A rich leathery fragrance unashamedly herbaceous, sultry and powerful. Aromatic wormwood oil gives the scent of Absinth. Cypriol roots bring a powerful earthy, balsamic undertone, bolstered by Virginia and Atlas Cedar, and patchouli. A rich leathery scent that begins fresh, before softening to a sensual woody-tobacco signature.”
All three scents are available now at the EPC website as 240g individually, or a 3x75g Layering Collection.
Amouage have launched an “Exceptional Extrait” of it’s 2023 fragrance, Purpose. The new fragrance – Purpose 50 – was composed by Givaudan perfumer, Quentin Bisch, who also created the original.
The company say, “An unwavering totem of strength and assertiveness, the original Purpose Eau de Parfum employed the ageless power of Frankincense to convey a sense of feeling at peace, of finding one’s roots, of being complete. Now in the form of an Exceptional Extrait, dosed at an astonishing 50% concentration, Purpose 50 delves deeper into the base of the scent. Joining the Frankincense, the Papyrus and the Sand Vetiver from the Eau de Parfum are an authoritative Sandalwood accord – lending the whole a unique, creamy-woody earthiness – as well as a Vanillin note, which creates a more intimate bond with the wearer’s skin. Purpose 50 is a profoundly moving connection to the earth itself – with its ancient soul , its endless patience and its timeless wisdom.”
Creative Director of the brand, Renaud Salmon, told Moodie Davitt Report, “It’s not that we felt we wanted to fix something in the Eau de Parfum, or that something was missing from it. However, we found ourselves constantly going back to the scent and thinking about it – as though it was calling out to us for further exploration.”
Notes for the fragrance include Bergamot, Pink Pepper, Frankincense, and Pimento Berry in the top; a heart of Rose, Sand Vetiver, Sandalwood, and Papyrus; and a dry down of Saffron, Suede, Mystikal, Akigalawood, and Vanilla.
Armani have announced that British actor, Nicholas Galitzine, is to be “the newest Emporio Armani Global Fragrance Ambassador” and will be the face of the upcoming Stronger With You Parfum.
In a post on Instagram, the company said, “A strong name for a strong scent. After captivating audiences worldwide through diverse and engaging roles, Emporio Armani Global Fragrance Ambassado Nicholas Galitzine embodies the enthralling scent of STRONGER WITH YOU PARFUM that evokes unity, strength, and authenticity.”
Galitzine, who stars as He-Man in the upcoming Masters of the Universe movie. told WWD, “It was a really unique experience, because my main task for the campaign was to move and dance with a sense of freedom empowered by my crew around me and the feeling of the nightclub that we created. I don’t profess myself to be a dancer by any means, but it was just very freeing.”
The upcoming campaign features the song, Born Slippy by Underworld, and was shot by photographer Harley Weir. Galitzine was styled by Georgia Pendlebury.
Mob Psycho 100 is an anime series (based on a web manga series of the same name) that follows the life of Shigeo Kageyama, a seemingly ordinary middle school student with psychic powers. Nicknamed “Mob,” Shigeo struggles to balance his desire for a normal life with his abilities.

Annick Goutal have unveiled the 2024 edition of its Une Forêt d’Or candle, a product that has been part of the brand’s annual lineup for over 30 years.
The scent of Une Forêt d’Or is designed to evoke memories of winter walks through snow-dusted forests and the tradition of decorating homes with pine branches, fresh oranges, and tangerines. Its features key notes of pine branches and orange rind, aiming to capture the atmosphere of the holiday season.
The 2024 edition comes in a deep blue lacquered glass adorned with a swirling nature-inspired design, which the brand describes as a representation of a magical winter night.

I’m a scent creator, entrepreneur, writer, adventurer, and proud dog mum of two. I’m deeply immersed in the art of perfumery and sensory exploration, blending creativity and mindfulness to craft experiences that go beyond the ordinary. Wife, traveler, and always in pursuit of life’s rich pleasures, I’m passionate about the journey of self-discovery through scent.
How did you get into the perfume industry?
My journey into fragrance was born out of a deep fascination with how scent impacts our emotions, identity and memories. This passion led me to create SNIPH, a fragrance discovery service for niche perfumes, and later NEH, a new perfume house where master perfumery meets mindfulness.

What was the first perfume you ever purchased?
Obsession by Calvin Klein. Its boldness and fluidity felt liberating and opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of scent at a very young age.
What is your favorite meal?
I’m drawn to flavorful Persian kabob with saffron rice. It’s rich, aromatic, and captures the essence of culture and depth, a bit like my approach to fragrance.
Where is your favorite place?
Bali and South Africa both hold a special place in my heart. These vibrant, diverse places have a unique energy, a blend of culture, spirituality, and natural beauty that feeds my creativity and grounds me.

Do you have an interesting party trick or any hidden talents?
I’m a certified Yoga Nidra teacher, which means I can guide people into a deep state of relaxation and subconscious exploration—a powerful tool for healing. I also sing, and for the first time, I’m blending both these skills in NEH, using my voice in our frequency sounds to support others in their journeys of self-discovery and well-being. It’s exciting to bring these personal passions into my work, creating a meaningful, healing experience for others.
Who would play you in a film of your life?
Tilda Swinton would be my pick. She has a rare, magnetic presence that aligns with the creative, boundary-pushing energy I bring to my work.
